It deeply saddens me to announce that Bellevue Skate King will be closing it's doors as of June 30th after serving for over 40 years. Business has been real good lately as we have been averaging 800-1,000 skaters every Saturday for example...Simply put, the value of the land has exceeded what a skating rink can generate especially with the shape that the building is in. Eastside Harley Davidson will be taking over the building after an extensive renovation to the building. We are trying to find another location, but the true Skate King, which is within the building, can never be replaced. I have personally enjoyed serving the skate community and I will always treasure the many memories and friendships that I have been blessed with while working at the rink. I have been overcome with many emotions as I deal with not the loss of a job, but a loss of a local landmark that has meant so much to so many....The first special event to honor Skate King will be Saturday May 30th from 1-5:30 & 6-10:00....say "Skate King Lives" at the door and you will receive 1/2 price admission....stay tuned for the final week special sessions which will include a time for ex-workers and long-time rink rats.....Thank you to all for the support and being a part of the many special memories throughout the years. Feel free to leave your email or click on the Facebook link if you would like to keep in touch with any potential developments....take care
